Bio
Janine Bonifant is a Wellington-based barrister with over 30 years of experience in criminal litigation. She regularly appears in the District, High, and Youth Courts, and has worked extensively as both a prosecutor and defence counsel.
Janine is a faculty member of the NZLS Litigation Skills and Advanced Litigation Skills Programmes, and teaches advocacy and negotiation at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. She is the author of two LexisNexis textbooks on practical advocacy and serves on the Criminal Law Committee of the New Zealand Law Society.
